At least 2-3 months prior to trying to get pregnant, you should seek Medical advice on your current health status. Get a complete workup, seek advice about Vitamins or diet change, & journal about all the things you desire in this pregnancy.
It's great to jot these ideas down so that you & your support person can reference this just in case anything arises during or after labor.
Get excited because you're in for a "Bumpy" ride. Get it Bump...lol

During pregnancy, your body as a whole will go through so many changes & you need to be prepared:
Mentally
Physically
Spiritually
for the journey ahead.
Mental health does affect pregnancy, so if you are experiencing any issues or may think you have a problem, seek out help. There's nothing wrong with having mental issues or illness, where it becomes an issue is when it goes unaddressed.
Physical health should be your focus as well. Maintaining the proper weight is essential to life but in pregnancy being over weight can cause issues down the line & make it harder to shed off
. Begin a workout regimen. A 30 min jog or a trip to the gym with friends can aid in keeping your body fit & shedding access weight that's not necessary to hold on to. Drinking water is Gold... Read that again & have fun with your menu choices. Create a healthy diet calendar where you implement different veggies & fruits to ensure you're giving your body all it needs & creating a healthy environment in your womb for your unborn child.
Spirituality can become a touchy subject for most because so many people have different beliefs but in the case of pregnancy, it's very important that you get, stay & remain grounded. Pray often, fast regularly...yes you can fast while pregnant & stay positive.
Your unborn child can feel all you feel & can hear your conversation as well so ensure that what you speak is upright & genuine.
Use Wisdom
Seek out your PCP( Primary Care Physician) with clarity. Know their stats. Their C-Section rates, if you are against such a procedure & how well their hospitality is...all of these points
count.
How far away is the hospital, do they accept your insurance, do I have a plan B for a support person, will people be allowed to come visit you afterwards, cloth or disposable diapers....the list goes on.
But the best think you can do is prepare to ensure that if any thing changes...which they always do, you'll at least have a plan that's there that you & your loved ones can reference.
